New Those Dancing Days single accompanied by a fun video!
Those Dancing Days have a new single out called ”Home Sweet Home” that’s darn catchy, which seems to be the norm with all Those Dancing Days songs. There’s also a very charming and twee video for the song (see below). This should be a big hit for the girls, right? I’ve only listened to it a few times but I’ve already got it stuck on my brain like toffee pudding. If charm sold records Those Dancing Days would be able to buy those golden toilet taps (now there’s a band name!) that MC Hammer had. Guess they need to make a song about lesbian love before that can become a reality – life is tough! I’m looking forward to see them play later this year when they come to the UK (dates below).

I just bought the two EPs that Those Dancing Days have released. I haven't really got into them, but I thought I'd give them a proper chance since they are so charming. They, together with Lykke Li and Shout Out Louds, are a (good) Swedish band who keep on coming back to the UK for gigs lately. Now they're doing a few shows in August and October. October ... only three months away!

Those kids in Those Dancing Daysare coming back to the UK in June, July and August for some shows. I’ve never seen them live, but I think their hyped EP is ok. The first London gig is stupidly on the same night as Shout Out Louds and Lykke Li are playing 100 Club. Hmmm. Where to go? I love Shout Out Louds and Lykke Li but I’ve seen both of them plenty of times (never on the same bill though!), so I might just go to 100 Club to check out Those Dancing Days perform their seasonable indie pop. Difficult to think about gigs now, I just want to sit in a park and drink beer. I drank port wine for the first time ever two days ago, it was well sweet! If I could make all of the members in TDD four times older, I'd invite them over to have some port on my balcony (they have to stand though, it’s quite small, or at least lean on their rollators). This week in London - Lykke Li and Those Dancing Days!
Hey, listen up! Two of Sweden’s currently (here today - gone tomorrow!) most hyped artists are coming to London this week to entertain us, the public. Lykke Li(whose upcoming album is great! We've previously written about her here) is a bit posher and doing just the one show, whereas those kids in Those Dancing Days are putting in some more effort and doing three gigs in as many days. I’m definitely going to check out Lykke Li’s show, and I’ll try and go and see Those Dancing Days’ Barfly show, or the Bardens Budouir one. I’m much more a fan of Lykke Li than TDD, but I’ve never seen TDD live (I’ve heard mixed reviews) so I’m curious to see what they’ve got to offer. Hopefully, they won't be pants.
